Ford sales on the Romanian market in March 2006 reached 1210 units, equal to the volume sold overall in the first quarter of 2005 and up 127% compared to March last year, a press release of Romcar, the Ford representative in Romania, says.
For the full first quarter of 2006, Ford doubled its sales compared to the same period last year, with 2246 units. Ford Fiesta and Mondeo upped 90% and 341.17% respectively in March from the previous month, while Ford Focus and Focus C-Max sales rose 21.52% and 66.66%.
Romcar has been representing Ford in Romania since 1992 and controls a network of 20 dealers, currently bringing 11 Ford models on the market.
