Rapid’s failure to score in minute 80 sealed off the faith of the first Romanian semi-finalist football team in UEFA Cup F.C. Steaua Bucharest. The second leg match of the euroderby between two Romanian teams on Thursday evening ended goalless, but favored Steaua which had already a lead away goal advantage after the first encounter of the UEFA Cup quartefinals.

The match was dominated by a lot of misses on both sides, but both teams gave their best to qualify for an historical match in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup.

Steaua is to play the semifinals against Middlesbourgh which won against Basel in the quarterfinals, after the two legs with 0-2, and 4-1.
