Dacia holds the 16th place in terms of car sales in France for the first quarter of 2006, with a total of 5,842 registered units which bring the Romanian producer before direct competitors such as Skoda and Kia.

In March 2006 alone, Dacia sold over 1,822 units in France.

The French market reported a slight decrease of -2.5% in general in Q1, a slowdown that affected French brands the most – especially Renault, Dacia’s mother company. Imported cars reported higher sales with a 3 percentage points up in terms of market share, now totalling 44.5%.
