Romanian beer maker Ursus Breweries, a member of SABMiller plc, plans to invest some 30 million euro in the expansion and modernization of its factory in Buzau, central Romania, this year to increase production there by 75%, the company announced.

The Buzau factory was the first to be bought by SABMiller in Romania ten years ago and has an annual capacity of 800,000 hl and 300 employees. Ursus has invested over 13 million in the factory so far.

Ursus is the second largest beer producer in Romania, with a market share of 22%. It owns four beer factories with a total capacity of over 3 million hl and 1,300 employees.
