Mobile telephony operator Orange Romania, division of France Telecom company, reached an almost 870 million Euros turnover in 2005, 39.2 per cent up compared to 2004, Hotnews.ro reports.
On the last trimester of 2005, the company posted a turnover of 250 million Euros, 78 million more than in the same period of 2004.
At the end of 2005, Orange Romania recorded an increase of 38.2 per cent in the customers’ number, bringing it to almost seven million, despite a decrease of the client’s average income from 147 euros/2004 to 144 euros/2005.
The main competitor on the Romanian mobile phone market is Mobifon of Vodafne. At the end of 2005, Connex- Vodafone boasted more than 6.1 million customers.
