On Monday, December 31 Bucharest celebrates the New Years Eve with fireworks, live concerts and foreign famous performers. Citizens wishing to celebrate on the streets of Bucharest can opt for several big concerts organized by local authorities - all managing to bring foreign performers.
One of the concerts, in downtown Piata Constitutiei hosts among Romanian singers and bands like Pepe, Mandinga, Vama and Voltaj, famous britpop sensation Sophie Ellis Bextor. The event is organized by the local City Hall in collaboration with ArCuB.
Another option to party on New Year's Eve night is the party organized by District 5 mayor Marian Vanghelie, notorious for his cheap and fancy parties offered on the occasion. This year, citizens opting for his party will enjoy the British singer Tom Jones and Alphaville.
