Land sales in Bucharest in 2007 ranged between 150 euro to 4500 euro per square meters, depending on the location of the plot, a study of real estate company Atisreal Romania informs. Atisreal experts declare that in 2008, speculative transactions will flourish along the highway-to-be between Bucharest and Brasov.

According to the document, land prices for residential and office projects downtown Bucharest grew on average by 15-20% in 2007 as compared to 2006. In 2007, the greatest price increase was registered in the same areas where speculative transactions took place.

Moreover, experts of the company say that speculative transactions are encouraged especially in less developed areas in Bucharest outskirts and in the Southern part of the capital city, in nearby towns.
