The 2009 edition of the Bucharest auto fair SIAB will be canceled due to the rough economic situation of the car market, members of the Association of the Automobile Producers and Importers decided. The most important automobile event in the country will be not be held in 2009 but officials declared that the 2011 edition will definitely be held.
Currently, the car market in Romania is confronted with an extremely difficult situation due to the international automobile market and due to the decrease of the demand at the national level. Moreover, the future is not bright at all either.
SIAB had, until now, six editions at the last one was in 2007 with over 250,000 visitors.
