The Romanian railway company CFR Calatori starting Friday will annul four train rides between the Bucuresti Nord train station in Romanian capital Bucharest and the Henri Coanda Otopeni Airport north of the city because of the low number of passengers, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.

The announcement comes two weeks after Transport minister Radu Berceanu said the rail route was reporting losses and would be closed.

The Bucharest-Otopeni route was opened in February this year.
