Romanian weather experts have issued a yellow code warning for high temperatures in Bucharest and 19 counties in West, South and East Romania starting Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. Temperatures are expected to exceed 35 degrees at noon during the next two days.

High temperatures are expected to raise issues especially in plain areas with the temperature-humidity index expected to exceed the critical threshold of 80 in certain cases, a press release of the National Weather Administration says.

The warning is valid for Bucharest and for the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timis, Caras-Severin, Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Calarasi, Ialomita, Braila, Constanta, Tulcea, Galati, Vaslui and Iasi.
