The financial crisis seems to have ended for the Bucharest District 1 city hall. It will pay 200 million lei - some 47 million euro - for the improvement and maintenance of green areas in the District. The money would go to an association of firms which won a tender organized by the District 1 Public Administration.
The association includes the Triumf Gardening (Leader), Geca PM Impex, Garden Center and Romprest companies. The duration of the contract is of 42 months, due to end in 2012.
According to the announcement by which the contract was attributed to the association of companies, the criterion to select the provider was the lowest price offered. But this was also the only offer taken into consideration.
