Romanian major trade union CNS Cartel Alfa has decided to continue union movements launched on September 20 and that it would organize protests in Bucharest Victoria Square on Thursday, Friday and Monday, Romanian news agency Mediafax reads.

A Cartel Alfa press release, the decision was made because of unprecedented austerity measures announced by the Emil Boc Government.

Health, welfare and education unions will protest on Thursday, those in the economic sector, the police and the penitentiaries will protest on Friday, while administration and chemical industry unions will protest on Monday. The protests are expected to last two hours or more each day.
