Romanian President Traian Basescu signed, on Monday, in the condolences book opened to commemorate the victims in Japan at the resident of the Japanese Ambassador to Bucharest, Romanian news agency Mediafax reads. The chief of state also had a short meeting with the Japanese Ambassador, Natsuo Amemiya.

On Thursday, the Japanese Embassy to Bucharest announced the opening of the condolences book in the memory of the victims of the devastating quake that hit the Pacific coast, North East of Japan. The book is open on Monday and Tuesday, between 10 to 3 PM at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador to Bucharest.
