Culture ministry initiates procedures to sign up Brancusi’s works from Targu Jiu in UNESCO’s patrimony

Romania’s Culture ministry will start procedures to sign up the works of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi from Targu Jiu, that comprise the Endless Column, the Table of Silence, the Kiss Gate, in the UNESCO World Patrimony.  

According to a press release quoted by news agency Mediafax, the ensemble was included in 1991 in a tentative list but procedures have not been started since. The initiative is endorsed by numerous politicians, artists, journalists, personalities of the civil society, people of culture, the press release reads.
