Romanian National Bank currency reserves amounted to 25.3 billion euro by the end of 2007, a press release of the bank informs. Reserves are up 18.7% as compared to December 2006.
In December 2007, foreign currency reserves dropped by 134 million euro as a direct consequence of entries going down to 268.1 million euro.
Foreign reserve exits registered in the last month of 2007 amounted to 402.1 million euro.
On the other hand, the gold reserve of the National Bank dropped by 1 ton last year reaching 103.7 tons but its value rose from 1.62 billion euro in 2006 to 1.88 billion euro by the end of 2007.
