The 17th edition of the IT&C exhibition in Romania, Computers and Electronics Romanian Fair (CERF) will gather May 7-11 only some 60,000 visitors as compared to 80,000 last year. Moreover, this year's edition will only host some 130 companies, less than last year, within a 1,500 square meters less than last year's available space.

Important names likes BitDefender, K Tech Ultra Pro or Lasting will be absent from this edition. However, organizers say Aline Distribution and some 13 new companies from Taiwan will compensate. The biggest stands were rented by Romtelecom and Cosmote, Electronic Sports League and Vodafone, Expotek director Dan Voicu declared.

While the number of visitors is expected to be lower than last year, Voicu says he is confident that visitors will offer qualitative insights. He added that organizers spent some 200,000 euro for the advertising campaign.
