The dividends paid to non-residents in Romania will have a 10% taxation level, instead of 16%, Economy Minister Varujan Vosganian said on Thursday. The 16% level was considered as discriminatory by the European Commission, which warned Romania accordingly.

Vosganian promised that the situation will be regulated in two months at most. Romania residents who own less than 15% of the stick in a company pay 10% taxes for the dividends they receive.
