Silviu Hotaran, who will withdraw at the end of August from his position as head of Microsoft Romania, wished for his successor to be Romanian as well. Hotaran will open his own consultancy company, offering services in more areas than just IT.

Hotaran returned to Microsoft one year ago, only for a transition towards the next managing team. Hotaran's collaboration with Microsoft totaled 12 years, out of which he says that a few years he kept thinking about opening his own small company, dedicated to "soft skills" - management consultancy on communication and interaction with people.

According to Hotaran, the company he will start will not act only in the IT area, but everywhere the organization culture and values transfer is required.

The recruiting process for his successor at Microsoft has already started. "I hope it will be a Romanian, the one who replaces me. We spent 12 years to create the image of Microsoft Romania as local company. I am sure we have enough people in Romania able to carry on what we started", Hotaran says.
