General Motors will launch the new Opel Insignia model on the Romanian market starting January 2009. The model will be presented in London next week and will be sold all over Europe by fall. The car will be available in Europe in seven engine versions.

Insignia will replace the Vectra model and will be produced in Russelsheim, Germany. The car will also have the new Opel symbol. Clients will be able to choose between seven available versions. Sales should start by November this year in Eurpoe and in 2009 this model will also be available in Romania.

Some 700 Vectra models and 25 Signum models were sold in Romania last year.
