Erste Bank president Andreas Treichl declared on Wednesday that the new regulations draft issued by the Romanian Central Bank (BNR) is welcome, since many banks, in their rush to gain a larger market share, pump money in Romanians' pockets in an almost irresponsible manner.

Even more, the local actions of the banks don't correspond to the general policies of the mother-banks. According to Treichl, the credits' advance is welcome for the economy and for the populace, but becomes dangerous when loans are offered to people without reimbursement capacity.

Even more, the Erste president says that Romanian authorities must take steps in correcting this behavior.

BNR put up a new regulation draft designed to limit the risks in the credits offered for the population.
