The Czech energy group CEZ will invest some 1.1 billion euro in Romania for a wind park with a capacity of 600 mgw, a company's press release informed in Wednesday, quoted by Reuters. The project will be the biggest in Europe and will be in operation starting 2009.

CEZ entered the Romanian market in 2005 when it took over energy company Electrica Oltenia which became CEZ Romania Group, NewsIn informs. Last year, CEZ Romania obtained a net profit of 134.3 million Romanian Ron.

Exploitation revenues grew in 2007 up to 1.388 billiion Romanian Ron as compared to the registered amount in 2006 of 1.352 billion Romanian Ron.
