Coface maintains a negative perspective on Romania because of the macroeconomic imbalance, officials of the rating agency declared, according to NewsIn. At the same time, the newly issued rating for the business environment is slightly better than the country rating, A4. The A4- country rating stands unchanged since the beginning of 2007, after being a stable A4 between December 2005 and 2007.
The country rating takes into account three main indicators: the business environment, the economic, financial and political perspectives and the financial behavior of companies.
Coface officials say that the main threats of the economy are the high level of the current account deficit and the pressure on the national currency, which depreciates because of the international crisis
