Employees at Dacia Pitesti restart their activity on Monday after a three week period when the factory was shut down. In the following days, a formal decision will be made on whether the company will interrupt its activity again on December 11 or not.

According to Radio Romania Actualitati, the Romanian public radio, quoting sources in the factory, the activity might be shut down in three days. On Monday union leaders will have an official meeting with company representatives to discuss the schedule for the next period.

Employees will receive their Christmas presents, bonuses and meal tickets. Sources in the union declared that the salary in technical unemployment will most probably diminish in 2009. Workers at Dacia received 85% of their salary while the activity was shut down.
