Romania's commercial deficit increased in the first ten months of the year with 11.22% as compared to the similar period, last year, to 19.19 billion euro, Romania's National Statistics Institute data reveals. Exports continued to outrun imports, by 18.6% up to 29.01 billion euro while imports increased by 15.5% to 48.21 billion euro.

In the first nine months of the year, Romania's commercial deficit was 16.93 billion euro, a 12.5% increase as compared to the same period, last year. In the mentioned period, the total exchange value within the Union was 20.39 billion euro for exits and 33.09 billion euro for incoming goods, representing 70.3% of total exports and 68.7% of total imports.
