The real estate credit will recover in a relatively short while, of maximum one year. The market still exists and there are clients that still call for such loans and banks that offer it, despite of the crisis, said the president of the Romanian Banks Association, Radu Ghetea.

"It is a transition period for the real estate credit, because there are still major opportunities and a high demand for homes. The time for speculations has passed", said Ghetea. His predictions are based on the fact that all governing programs in Europe (and in Romania as well) take into account supporting the construction businesses.

"The Romanian Banks Association itself has aims at supporting the construction activities, for general infrastructure, but mainly for housing", Ghetea added.
