The net average salary in Romania stood at 1358 lei in February this year, up only 0.2% as compared to the previous month, the National Statistics Institute announced on Monday. But the net average salary reported slight drops in the majority of economic sectors with the most significant losses reported by insurance, pension funds and telecom sectors.
That comes as January 2009 is the month where occasional bonuses are given.
Drops of over 10% were reported in insurance and pension fund sectors, while telecom and IT sectors salaries reported losses of 5-10%.
