Prime Minister Emil Boc appealed on Thursday to all professors "to refrain from transferring the economic crisis over the children and their parents". The head of Government ensured the professors that wages will not decrease. "We would agree to a raise, but there's not any money", said Boc.

"A strike can not replace the national tests. Any raise must be considered according to the economic conditions. Wages will not decrease and all salaries will be paid", said Boc.

The Education Minister, Ecaterina Andronescu, expressed her concern regarding the strike during the national tests' days and insured the professors that salaries would nor decrease.
