IBM opened an IT global service provider in Brasov, central Romania as a branch of the company's main center in Bucharest. In Brasov, IBM will hire some 80 people and the center is aimed at the company's German speaking clients in sectors like cars and insurances.

IBM declared that it will continue to expand its company across Romania and even though officials did not put forward the total number of their employees in Romania, unofficial sources indicate over 1,000.

The new IBM center in Brasov will offer services like soft maintenance, software creation and soft testING. IBM officials declared that they chose Brasov because of the large number of people qualified to speak German.
