The industrial business profits dropped in April by 9.6% compared to the previous month and by 18.4% compared to the same month, last year, Romania's National Statistics Institute reveals. Moreover, new orders in the industry diminished by 4.5% compared to the previous month and by 24.2% compared to April 2008.
Compared to the previous month, industrial profits dropped by 9.6% due to decreases in the mining industry and the manufacturing industry. Overall, new industry orders dropped by 24.2% due to decreases in most sectors.
