Pessimism related to the financial perspectives of Romanian companies is a general feeling among Romanian businessmen, a Deloitte Business Sentiment Index reveals, which reflects the opinions of the businessmen in Romania and another five regional countries. Only 15.4% of the businessmen are expecting an improvement of the financial perspectives, while 31.1% believe that the future is gloomy. The same pessimism sprangs out when it comes to EU funds accession: almost 70% of those interviewed consider that they are hard to access.

Romanian companies continue their business growth strategy but with a close look to costs - most respondents believe in the economic recovery and are preparing new products and services. On the other hand, businessmen foresee new regulations in the upcoming year and launch a warning against the difficulty of accessing EU funds, Deloitte Romania President George Mucibabici resumes the survey on Romania.

The numbers indicate that Romanian businessmen have an optimistic view concerning the general economic recovery for the upcoming six months - 38.5% of the respondents indicated it. However, when it comes to the financial perspectives of Romanian companies, their leaders are more pessimistic: only 15.4% of them are expecting an improvement while 23.1% are pessimistic.
