We live in times of collective hypocrisy, Lucian Croitoru, counselor of Romania's National Central Bank governor declared. The quality of the debates is very poor, Croitoru said referring to the press.

According to Croitoru, everybody complains about the salaries, but they all admit that the salaries of the President, the Prime Minister etc. are too low compared to the responsibilities they have.

He said that even though authorities claim they want investments, the budget is made just to repair ulterior mistakes in salaries. The public system does not work: most retired people retired at 40 years old, which is not normal.
