The Romanian-language Yahoo! homepage and mail service will be functional starting Q4 of 2010, several months later than expected given the need to prepare a new version of the e-mail service, market sources have told HotNews.ro. A confirmation of Yahoo! expansion plans came on Wednesday with an announcement that the area of services offered by the IBM support center in Cairo extends for Romanian and other seven European languages.

The center serves Yahoo!-using clients in Africa, Middle East and Europe.

This spring, the target was that the Yahoo portal and email service in Romanian language be launched in July. But according to market sources the launch may come in November.
