The nominal ceilling for 2011 of the general consolidated budget was set to 192.3 billion lei, the Government's spokesperson Ioana Muntean declared. This is one of the requirements established in the draft law regarding the approval of ceillings of some indicators set in the fiscal budgetary strategy for 2011-2013.

The project was approved by the goverment in its Wednesday session and will be sent to the Parliament for adoption. The normative act sees the decrease of personnel spending to 7.4% in 2011 from 8% in 2010. In exchange spending for European projects will be doubled.

Moreover, the budgetary deficit will be decreased from 6.8% in 2010 to 4.4% in 2011 to 3% in 2012 and to 2.5% in 2013. On the other hand, in 2011 spending for Eurpean projets will increase to 2% of the GDP.
