An IMF mission will arrive in Romania on October 20 for about 10 days to evaluate whether the conditions assumed in the stand by agreement are fulfilled, IMF representatives declared. The IMF deegation might discuss with the Romanian authorities the possibility to sign a new agreement.

The IMF Romania chief of mission Jeffrey Franks declared on Wednesday that the new agreement will be a precautionary agreement which means that the IMF will release at each evaluation of sum of money that will not go to the state automatically. The money will remain at Washington and will be available for unforseeable problems.

He said that the new agreement will have a smaller value than the current agreement.
