PM Boc invited Chinese businessmen to invest in Romania in a series of projects that will be conducted in a public-private partnership, like the Comarnic Brasov highway or the Sibiu – Pitesti highway. The offer was launched during a meeting between the PM and representatives of the Chinese state, to mark the new Chinese year.

According to sources who attended the meeting PM Boc invited Chinese businessmen to invest in hydro plants, road belts surrounding cities, airports, hospitals, and irrigation and environment projects. PM Boc underlined that the ministries are open to develop such partnerships.

PM Boc explained that his government just adopted a new law on public – private partnership meant to accelerate investments from budget and EU funds money. He reiterated Romania’s need to modernize in many sectors which could attract plenty of private capital who seek investments.
