Nine internal providers of Ford are currently producing various components within the Craiova, South Romania factory of the company, while at least four other car component providers may open production units in an industrial park near the city, Dolj County Council official Ioan Prioteasa has said. He mad the statement during a press meeting at the launch of construction works at the IAC Bals factory.

Some 4,000 people are currently working at the Ford plant and the number may reach 9,000, while some 30,000 others will eventually work for providers, according to the Dolj County official.

Ford has delayed its investment calendar in Craiova, so that the maximum production of over 200,000 cars would be reached in 2013 instead of 2012.
