The Liberal Democrat Party (PD-L) announced it will table a censure motion because the Government has not given up the car tax. The document, called "Pay back, Tariceanu", will have its final shape on Tuesday, PD-L president Emil Boc announced. The main Opposition party, Social Democrats (PSD) answered that it would not support the motion.

"We are honest. We admit we have just 100 signatures, but along with the other parties that voted against the car registration tax, we may adopt the censure motion, bringing the Tariceanu government and the car tax down at the same time, as well as having Romanian getting their money back".

Social Democrats declared for HotNews.ro, through their spokesman, Cristian Diaconescu, that the party will not support the motion: "It is a populist measure. They haven't sent the document for consultations or for discussions, so we will not sign it", said Diaconescu.

Liberal president Calin Popescu Tariceanu said he is not surprised with the announcement, since it is a populist measure, "a thing that will cost them at one point".
