Romanian Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu suggested in the governmental session on Wednesday that a team of independent experts is formed, in order to put up a new ministerial responsibility law. Tariceanu explained that such a law is required so that the Government would not be accused of trying to protect its ministers.

According to Tariceanu, after the Parliament rejected the Emergency Ordinance regulating the activity of the Presidential Commission on Ministerial Responsibility, a series of conflicts existing in the old law are still in force. The Constitutional Court decided in November that the Ordinance is not constitutional.
