Independent candidate Sorin Oprescu obtained 30.22% of the total cast votes while his main countercandidate Democrat Liberal (PD-L) Vasile Blaga obtained 29.08% of the votes, Central Electoral Office informs on Tuesday.

National level turnout was of 51.38%.

PSD - 1.957.588 - 28,44%

PD-L - 1.935.205 - 28,11%

PNL - 1.306.116 - 18.97%
