Romania president Traian Basescu reproached on Friday a local correspondent of Radio France Internationale that her questions lack a minimum of intelligence. The dialogue took place at the end of a press conference in Brussels, attended to by president Basescu and Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu. The two participated today in the summer reunion of the European Council.

After the press conference, the journalist asked if Romania is ready to lose an European Commissioner in case EU continues to function on the Nise Treaty grounds and what argument may be used to avoid small countries rotation in the EC. Traian Basescu answered caressing her cheek that the questions must prove a minimum of intelligence.
