Romania president Traian Basescu demanded the Parliament to gather next week in an extraordinary session, in order to allow the opening of a criminal inquiry against former Prime Minister Adrian Nastase and against former Transport Minister Miron Mitrea, Realitatea TV informs

The demand comes shortly after the Parliament failed to give a positive or negative notice on the prosecutors' demand, claiming a two-thirds quorum was not achieved. The Parliament's notice is required in order to investigate former ministers, for deeds during their ministerial mandates.
