Negotiations at Cotroceni ended on Monday night, at around 9 pm without any official declarations. President Basescu informed the political party leaders that he will announce the name of the Prime Minister on Wednesday, HotNews.ro sources declared.

President Basescu declared, at the beginning of the meeting that Romania is in urgent need of a Prime Minister in order to take tangible measures to sustain its economic sector. Basescu declared that political parties started to negotiate in order to reach a consensus.

Basescu invited all political leaders that entered the Parliament, to negotiate and said that he is convinced that each leader will first consider the national duty before anything else. NewsIn relates that Liberal leader Calin Popescu Tariceanu, together with PSD leader Mircea Geoana and PC leader Daniela Popa, PD-L leader Emil Boc and Hungarian Democratic Party leader Marko Bella were all present.
