Romanian President Traian Basescu accused the Social Democratic Party leader Mircea Geoana on Tuesday in a letter, for delaying the adoption of the Codes of Justice and for trying to ditch the responsibility for the stagnation of the corruption files in Parliament, according to NewsIn press agency.

A Presidential Administration press report notes that the Social-Democratic leader was encouraging the debate’s boycott in the Parliament. PSD leader Mircea Geoana declared on Monday that Romania’s president is to blame in case the EU decides to partly cut the funds allocated for Romania due to poor Justice reforms. He also sent an open letter to President Basescu, urging him to call a meeting and discuss possible solutions in the case of a Europea Comission negative country report.

PSD leader Mircea Geoana stated on Tuesday that President Basescu is trying to hold PSD and the Parliament accountable by launching false accusations, Mediafax reads.
