Romania's National Integrity Agency urged prosecutors to start an investigation against Environment minister Nicolae Nemirschi for false in declarations, a press release of the institution reads.

The agency revealed that there are a series of inconsistencies between the wealth declarations submitted by Nemirschi on January 5, 2009 and the one submitted on June 15, 2009. A simple comparison between the two points out that the minister, intentionally or not omitted to mention some assets.

For example, he failed to mention a house bought on March 2006 or he mentions a Jeep Cherokee which does not appear in the official tax evidences. Moreover, he omits to mention bank accounts on his wife's name with considerable amounts of money.

The agency's director, Catalin Macovei declared that he will urge the prosecutors to start an official investigation against the minister.
