The magistrates' protests took on a national level on Thursday. Friday sees a new day of protests in the Romanian Justice department. Magistrates call for their 50% stress income benefit, a smaller workload and the incomes for the last month. They threatened to keep protesting until their requests will be met.

Justice minister Catalin Predoi considers the strike to be illegal, appreciating that interrupting the court act is a huge mistake. The national radio channel Radio Romania Actualitati broadcasted on Predoiu, saying that the Justice minister had sent letters to Courts presidents and to the Magistrates' Superior Council (CSM). The magistrates asked on Thursday evening for the intervention of incumbent President Basescu.
