Romania's Transports minister Radu Berceanu declared that he knows for sure that President Basescu will run on behalf of his party, Democrat Liberal Party. He added that deputy Mircea Toader, who confirmed yesterday that Basescu considers to run as an independent candidate, has no idea what he is talking about, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.
The declaration was made in Craiova, where Berceanu was present at the launch of the first Ford model produced in Romania. Berceanu declared that Bucharest Mayor, Sorin Oprescu will also announce his intention to run for president on September 24.
