The nominated Prime Minister, Lucian Croitoru continues negotiations with leaders of the Parliamentary parties, in an attempt to secure a majority for his government. He is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, at 2PM, in the Parliament with Social Democratic Party, Liberal, Hungarian Democratic Party representatives and the national minority group. Members of the opposition expressed their support for Klaus Iohannis and announced that they will attend the meeting, out of politeness.

After a meeting with Democrat Liberals, Croitoru announced that he will offer the Interior ministry position for the Social Democrats. Croitoru said that his plan is to form a Parliamentary majority and his back up plan is to form a national union.

Social Democratic leader Mircea Geoana declared that a meeting with Croitoru is useless considering that his party already announced that they will endorse Klaus Iohannis.
