Deputies approved the penal investigation against former Youth minister Monica Iacob Ridzi for money laundering. 156 Parliamentarians voted for, 5 against and 3 votes were canceled, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs. Democrat Liberals did not attend the vote.
I am convinced this is a political vote, just like the political vote in the judicial committee, former Youth minister Ridzi declared at the end of the session. Two weeks ago, Monica Iacob Ridzi urged Parliamentarians not to vote the report of the judicial committee which recommended a penal investigation.
