Russian deputy PM Sergey Ivanov implied in a speech held at the 44th International Conference dedicated to security issues in Munich that Vladimir Putin would attend the 2008 NATO Summit organized in Romania this spring. Ivanov talked about both internal affairs issues and strategic security perspectives.

Ivanov did not launched other attacks against the West and his speech was surprisingly moderate, according to media reports. However, he could not refrain to refer to US's war against terror, suggesting that the US are following their own economic interests using terrorism as a facade.
