The steps taken by the Romanian Embassy in London determined UK-based company Virgin Media to withdraw from its website and from Youtube the short film presenting the Romanian national football team, a Foreign Ministry release informs. In the short presentation film, the Romanians were symbolized by a group of fat gypsies bearing thick gold chains around their necks. Virgin Media apologized to all those who felt offended. Still, the film remained available on Youtube.
According to the British company, the film will be re-edited and re-published accordingly.
